Kirk Frameworks Photography Contest!

One of the qualities that we take pride in is aesthetics. A bicycle frame that is built and finished by hand and painted with careful attention to detail is a thing of beauty. And so, this summer we're celebrating the quest for things that look cool with a Kirk Frameworks Photo Contest.

There are two categories for photographs, Art and Action. The main subject for the Art photos should be a Kirk frame in whatever context, lighting or composition you find interesting. Action photos should display a Kirk frame being ridden and enjoyed. In both cases, the bike should be somehow recognizable as a Kirk frame.

There will be a Grand Prize and two runner-up prizes awarded in each category. The Grand prize winner in each category will receive a Kirk Frameworks jersey and the runners-up will have a choice of a Kirk Frameworks ball cap or a Kirk Frameworks T-shirt.

We look forward to seeing your creative expression of a Kirk frame. Hopefully we'll see some images that are inspired, silly, artistic or otherwise cool. We'll plan to share your photos and your vision with the cycling community on our website. So start burning some pixels and have some fun with it!

The fine print…

• The deadline for submitting photos is midnight on Tuesday July 31, 2007.
• Winners will be announced by Tuesday August 7 and prizes will be mailed shortly there after.
• Photos will be judged on composition, originality and the quality of the photo. Dave and Karin Kirk will be the judges.
• Photos must be in digital form as JPG files and should be emailed to info@kirkframeworks.com. Images may be color or black and white and may be digitally enhanced. Image size should be a minimum of 1000 pixels across the small dimension. If you have more than 10 MB of files to enter, consider sending us a CD instead of emailing them.
• Please limit your entries to 5 in each category.
• Also please include the photographer's name, a caption for each photo, your mailing address, your daytime phone number and jersey/T shirt size with your submission.
• All submitted photos become the property of the Kirk Frameworks Company and may be used on our website or for print media. Photo credits will be given with each published photo.
• Photos must be copyright-free, or if they are copyright protected, use by Kirk Frameworks must be allowed.
