It’s about time I should think. I started Kirk Frameworks a bit over 6 years ago and recently Karin and I realized that I’ve not actually taken more than a day or two off in the entire time and certainly not had what one might consider a vacation. It’s always hard and a bit awkward to think about taking a vacation as the person next in line to get their bike has to wait while I take some time off. That said I have a perfect storm happening with the Lovely Karin being able to take some time off now, the fact that I’m a good bit ahead of schedule on production so everyone will still get their bikes on or ahead of schedule and the weather is perfect.

So Karin and I are packing up the Mini and heading south to see some national parks including the Grand Canyon and to possibly visit the Lotus dealer in Salt Lake City to lust over some cars. Hey, it can’t hurt to look.

We expect to be gone a week so if you don’t get a quick response to a phone call or email it’s because we are standing on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon with our jaws dropped in awe. We have a full time house sitter here to take in any packages and mail that might come in during the week so don’t worry about sending stuff.

As soon as I’m back in the shop/office I will return calls and emails as quickly as I can and once that is over you are all invited over to see a multi-hour slide show of all the picutes from our vacation. Nothing better than seeing other’s vacation photos.
