As of late Thursday Joan’s new ride is all done and in a box and will be shipped first thing in the morning. It went together so well it just seemed to fall together. Dura-Ace seems to be that way.
The saddle and post are not Joan’s but just some stuff I had lying around so I could assemble the bike. She has her own saddle that she loves that will get put onto a shiny new Ritchey WCS carbon post when she gets the bike.

Sweeeeeeet little ride!
What a masterpiece! Love the understated color, allowing one to focus on the beauty of the frame itself. Can’t wait to see it in the flesh!
Don’t take this wrong, but I find most of your studio shots bland and cold, leaving the frame colors “off”. I often wondered if it is your studio lighting or your backdrop.
But this cream yellow bike outside-looking at it is infectious! The frame color; the decal color; the simple one color scheme; my eyes keep getting drawn back to it. This is very special.
Thanks for the comment. I agree with you that that Joan’s bike, shot outside on a sunny day but not in direct sunlight, looks great. I wish I had such conditions for shooting all the photos. But it being Montana means I need to shoot indoors almost all the time. I think you are right that some of the photos come out flat and I think it comes down to lighting. While my lighting is bright enough it’s too white and could use to be a fuller spectrum. Being a framebuilder and not a photographer means I have a lot to learn about shooting the bikes. I plan to talk to the folks at a very good local photo shop that I think might be able to help me with lighting or filters or maybe even diffusers to try to get a warmer light. Keep looking at the photos and see if over time you can pick out when the change is made.
Thanks again,
Dave
Such a beautiful colour and a delicate frame!
