I just got deep into a lugged all rounder road bike today. Room for 28′s and fenders under long reach calipers and geometry to handle most any road. It’s going to be a fun bike and it’s going together very well.
It’s sunny and warm here so I’m closing shop and getting out on the bike. I suggest you do the same.

Great glowing BB photos -especially #3. That’s one for the KFW Calendar.
We used to do a calendar and were thinking about it again. That would indeed be a good photo for it… but what month?
Dave
December, of course (queue the piano or hum: ” . . . bottom brackets roasting on an open fire . . .”).
But also, I note you’re doing this with open sandals: any burnt toes lately?
P.S. I note pics of you and Karin this week over on Carl Strong’s blog going for a ride with a customer who picked up a bike. It looks like you’ve all been have a swell time lately. But what if all of us customer-types expect to drop by, pick up a bike, and get escorted around Montana by the Bozeman framebuilding community? This could really start to eat into your brazing time.
Nice, brazing in Birkenstocks. Watch that melting flux!
We should have such problems……. all are welcome and we can almost always make time for a quick ride. If EVERYONE showed up they’d have to help with the brazing. But of course they’d have to wear closed toe shoes as they aren’t “highly trained professionals”.

Note that they are Nomex sandals. Safety first!
